Accusource Investigations can contact hospitals and emergency care clinics in close proximity to the claimant’s residence in an attempt to determine if the claimant may have sought care at these locations in the days, months or years before the date of their “reported injury” in order to determine if an unrelated accident may have caused the injury that they are claiming against our clients. All Federal and State laws are followed during the course of our hospital canvass investigations, and it should be noted that under some circumstances a claimant signed HIPPA release of information form may be required.
Accusource Investigations can also contact pharmacies in close proximity to the claimant’s residence in an attempt to determine if any prescription medications were obtained from the corresponding locations.
In addition to our hospital and pharmacy canvasses, Accusource Investigations can conduct a dependency check on a claimant in an attempt to determine the claimant’s marital status and whether any dependent children live in the household. Public records and database sources are searched and discreet neighborhood inquiries are made in order to conduct this investigation. All information gathered is detailed in a comprehensive report and submitted to the client with any public records that may be obtained.
